LECTURER – BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT STUDIES

The Zimbabwe College of Forestry, a division of the Forestry Commission, is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Lecturer – Business and Management Studies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• • Delivering lectures in business-related courses including:
      – Forest Business Management and Entrepreneurship
      – Human Resources Management
      – Principles of Supervision
      – Production and Operations Management
      – Computer Skills

• • Supervising student research and assessments.

• • Designing, implementing and coordinating demand-driven short courses.

• • Participating in curriculum review and development.

• • Supporting the College’s heritage-based education model with relevant business and management applications in Forestry and Wood Technology.

• • Contributing to community engagement and College development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• • Minimum requirement is a BSc degree in Forestry, Wood Technology, Management, or a related field.

• • A Master’s degree in Management or related field is an added advantage.

• • Proven knowledge of Forestry and Wood Technology sectors.

• • At least two years’ teaching or relevant professional experience at tertiary or training level.

• • Strong computer skills and the ability to integrate ICT in teaching and learning.

• • Experience in the development and facilitation of short courses is a distinct advantage.
