A parastatal of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife

Terms of Use

These terms apply to everyone who uses forestry.co.zw. They are written to be read, not to be skipped. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

Last updated: 14 October 2026. Adopted by the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe.

Who runs this site

forestry.co.zw is published by the Forestry Commission of Zimbabwe, a parastatal established under the Forest Act [Chapter 19:05], operating under the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife, at Forestry Commission House, 1 Orange Grove Drive, Highlands, Harare.

What this site is for

It exists to explain what the Commission does, to publish the forms and requirements for the licences and permits we issue, to advertise our vacancies and tenders, to show the products our nurseries and seed centre supply, and to make our reports and publications available to the public.

The information you find here

We take care to keep this site accurate and current. Even so, it is general information and not legal advice. Where anything on this site differs from the Forest Act [Chapter 19:05], the Control of Firewood, Timber and Forest Produce Regulations, or any other law or statutory instrument, the law prevails.

Fees, turnaround times and requirements change. Before you rely on something here for a decision that matters, confirm it with the relevant office. Our provincial offices are listed on the Contact page.

Licences, permits and forms

The forms published here are the current versions and are free to download. Downloading a form, completing it, or reading anything on this site does not grant you a licence or permit. A licence or permit exists only once it has been issued by the Commission under the Forest Act, in writing, after the relevant requirements have been met and any inspection carried out.

Stated turnaround times — for example, that a timber movement permit is issued within one working day — run from the point at which we have received all the required documents, not from the date of first enquiry.

Seedlings, seed and other products

The shop pages are a catalogue. They show what our nurseries and seed centre produce so that you know what to ask for. You cannot buy or pay for anything through this website. Orders are placed with the relevant office or nursery, and availability, prices and quantities are confirmed at that point. Nothing on these pages is an offer capable of acceptance.

Vacancies, tenders and applications

Advertisements are accurate at the time of posting, and closing dates are stated on each. Submitting an application through this site does not oblige the Commission to consider it outside the stated process, to shortlist you, or to appoint anyone. Tenders are governed by the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe framework and by the conditions in each tender document, which take precedence over anything summarised here.

What you send us is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.

Using the site properly

You are welcome to read, print and share anything published here. You must not:

  • attempt to gain access to any part of the site, server or database you are not authorised to use
  • submit anything knowingly false, or impersonate another person
  • upload a file containing malicious code
  • place an unreasonable load on the site, or copy it wholesale by automated means
  • use the Commission’s name, crest or marks in a way that suggests we endorse you

Attempting to interfere with a computer system without permission is an offence under the Cyber and Data Protection Act, 2021 [Chapter 12:07].

We aim to keep the site available at all times, but we do not guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, or because of something outside our control. We will not be liable for loss arising from the site being unavailable, or from your reliance on information that has since changed, except where the law does not allow us to exclude that liability.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and using the site after that date means you accept the revised terms.
